Room 15 Jigsaw Art
Self Assessment Form
- I have used enlargement skills to create a jigsaw artwork with our class:
I think my piece is great and it matches the other piece that joins it.
2. I have used a range of pastel techniques:
I used a lot of blending and smudging and I used lots of different colors.
3. I have looked closely at the colours on the small piece and used the same colours on the enlargement:
I think I looked closely at the colors.
4. I have blended the pastels using different colours:
I mixed a lot of blues and purples, whites and greens.
5. What I would do differently next time:
next time I would put the colours in the right places because I put black instead of blue.
6. Other comments (what I like best and why, what I don’t like and why):
overall I think that the whole jigsaw puzzle is great.

Art
Room 15 made a Jigsaw for art. We copied a picture. But we did it with pastels. We learnt some pastel techniques like smudging and blending and we used lots of different colors together to see how they look. Then Miss Lewis printed a black and white piece and cut it up to make lots of little rectangles. We all got one piece each. Then we copied it onto an A4 piece of paper that was our draft. Once we finished our draft we got a good piece of paper and copied our draft lightly in pencil. Next we added the colour. When all the pieces were connected it looked amazing. All our hard work payed off. It takes a long time to make a beautiful piece of artwork.
